Harper-style austerity is back – and so is our fight
The PIPSC Board of Directors unanimously condemns Finance Minister François-Philippe Champagne's directive for 7.5%, 10%, and 15% departmental spending cuts. These cuts torch Carney’s “caps not cuts” campaign promise made to federal workers. The Board also authorized significant resources to launch a comprehensive public advocacy campaign to fight them.

Federal Budget 2025 – the stakes have never been higher
This fall, the Government of Canada will table Budget 2025 – the most anticipated federal budget in a generation. As part of the pre-budget consultations, PIPSC is urging the federal government to stop the cuts, uphold scientific integrity, rein in outsourcing and improve long-term planning.
